Short-eared Owl on Patch

Short-eared Owl is a fairly good bird on our patch here so when I heard Richard P had found one just South of Black Hole Marsh I popped down briefly. The poor bird looked pretty sodden but it was still managing to make short flights and catch prey fairly well. Steve Waite had one from Beer Head recently too, but as far as I can recall it headed out to sea so wasn't an easy one for other people to get onto.
