Wader numbers are down at Black Hole Marsh as the water level has increased significantly over the last couple of days, but a Little Stint was new in yesterday and it was joined by another today. Myself and Phil spent a fair bit of time looking at the 2nd bird as it's rather different from the other. One is much smaller and with a larger bill which is slightly curved downwards. Here's a shot for comparison (yes I know it's terrible, they were distant and 'Little'):
The Wood Sandpiper put in a brief but rewarding appearance near the path to Island Hide:
And I took a few snaps of a Greenshank and a Little Ringed Plover whilst waiting (in vain) for the Stints to come nearer:
