Photos of Spotted Redshank, Dipper & others

Pics of the Spotted Redshank and Buzzard taken during a lovely day with Becca yesterday; the ones of the Swan and Dipper were taken this evening.

Stunning Spotted Redshank at Colyford Common

Just 1 pic as it's nearly 1am; I'll post more this evening hopefully.

One of my favourite birds from the River Coly

A Dipper has been frequenting Umborne and Chantry bridges lately. I'm interested to know where this one has come from seeing as though the nesting pair went missing in June, and it's not the ringed bird from last year either...
VERY dark conditions for photography but they're such characterful little birds that I took some pics anyway. Lovely!

What a weekend...

And not in a good way! Short and sweet post because I'm shattered; 15 hour day at work(s) yesterday after 2 ish hours sleep on Friday night has left me rather zombiefied.

Lovely Dragonfly

These aren't going to be around for much longer; this Southern Hawker was struggling with the cold:

Black Hole Marsh still quite active with birdlife

I popped over to Black Hole Marsh after work and birds of note were 4 Ruff. Some of the small waders have also found their way onto the reserve again with a small group of Dunlin present; numbers are likely to increase soon as the tides are going to be pretty high for the next week or so. It was also nice to see some rather smart Teal and a lovely Kestrel this evening:

Teal looking rather striking
And a lot of pics of the Kestrel which was showy but the pics are a bit noisy due to low light and damp air:

Mmmm yes my claws still look lovely :)
